Batman Party Goods You Can’t Do Without

by Patti L.

Crime reporters relate that Batman the Dark Knight has once again rescued another birthday party from disaster. With a whole array of high-tech, stylish Batman Dark Knight birthday supplies, he can turn chaos into peace.

Stop chaos before it begins with a Batman Dark Knight Deluxe Pack. With plates, cups, napkins, activity placemats and more Batman birthday party supplies, you'll have everything you need.

Greet everyone with a 61" wide x 18" high banner, personalized to say anything you want. Then hand out some Batman Blowouts for everyone to toot and give each a Batman Mask to wear and start the party!

Now hand out some Batman Pez dispensers and watch them go wild. They love those wacky little candy pieces and the dispensers make for a great keepsake. Leave it to the detectives to figure out why flipping these little things is so fascinating. But kids (and adults) love them, so who cares!

There's no mystery about why the Batman Dark Knight Foam Flyers are so cool, though. They sport the Batman design and will travel dozens of yards if you launch them off the roof. Hmmm... Better not give the partygoers any criminal ideas.

Your birthday boy won't be tempted to do that, though, if he's wearing a Batman, The Dark Knight costume. Complete with mask and hood, it also includes bootcovers. The muscle-chest breastplate may be faux, but there's nothing fake about that cool utility belt. You'll have to make sure Dad doesn't disappear with it before the party!

Distract the big kid with an ultra-cool Batman centerpiece, part of your heroic decorating design. You might want to snatch one for your own collection too. With either Batman or the Batmobile to choose from you can each have one so there's no need for violence.

If the birthday boy wants one, too just give him a stellar Batman Sticker Book with crayons. Include some Laser Spinners in the deal and you won't have to worry about centerpieces disappearing before the party.

Then, gather everyone into the Bat Cave so the birthday boy can release a ton of small toys and candy from the Batman Pull-String Pinata. It holds a ton of goodies, so no one will have to argue about who gets what.

With Batman Dark Knight birthday party supplies your production is guaranteed a happy ending. You'll be the hero of the day. Just make sure the Bat rope is ready so your clean up crew doesn't escape...

Are Cheap Baby Clothes Better For Your Baby?

by Paula Heron

All parents want to see their newborn baby looking cute in trendy baby clothes but is it worth spending a lot of money on clothes they will wear for such a short time? Surely it would be more beneficial to buy some cute cheap baby clothes and with the cash that you save buy something which will help in your baby's overall development - for instance some books. Sharing books with even a very young baby can help her to learn communication skills which are so important in her future learning.

Talking to your newborn baby is very important as all the experts will tell you. Not only does it help you to bond with your baby it helps his brain to develop and begins the learning process. Even before your baby can talk back to you there are ways you can teach him the rules of conversation and communication.

Whether you are breastfeeding or bottle feeding always hold your baby to you and talk to them. You can talk to them about what they are doing or about how hungry they must be or you can sing to them - it doesn't matter what the subject is, it is the use of the spoken word that is important. But it is also important to remember the rules of conversation and allow pauses in your talk for the baby to respond.

Your baby's first "conversations" with you mostly take place when you are feeding him. The pauses in his sucking correspond to him taking a turn in the conversation. As he gets older the pauses in sucking will be filled with coos as he responds to you. Always hold your baby when you feed him and talk to him, remembering to leave gaps so he can "talk" to you.

If you don't feel comfortable talking to your baby then how about singing to him? The sound of your voice reassures him and lets him know that you are still there. But the most important thing is to communicate with your baby to help him develop the skills he will need as he gets older.

You might find it easier to read to your baby and she is never too young to introduce to books. Choose books with brightly colored pictures and a simple rhyming text. Some favorites are Goodnight Moon, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and One Fish To Fish and I'm sure you probably have others from when you were young. Sharing books with your baby helps to teach them any number of things such as the names of things in the world about them, the concept of counting and colors.

Singing nursery rhymes is another great way of communicating and teaching your baby. You can start off with the simple lullaby type like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Hush Little Baby to soothe and calm them when they are distressed. Doing rhymes like This Little Piggy, Patty Cake and Incey Wincey Spider helps them with their motor skills and co-ordination.

Not only is it fun to sing, read, talk and generally interact with your baby it is beneficial to her. It has been shown that the greater your child's vocabulary at three years old then the greater it will be at five years old when she starts school.

So there you have it - saving money through buying cheap baby clothes and spending the difference on more books that will have a lasting benefit to your baby is going to be far more beneficial for her in the long run.
