Before You Buy Baby Crib Bedding: Planning Your Nursery

Everyone knows that the crib is the most important thing in the nursery, but it is the baby bedding that makes the crib look amazing. Because of the large selection, you may find it easier to shop online for the perfect crib.
Be prepared that someone may find your choice of baby bedding ugly. This doesn't mean it is ugly, but different people have different tastes. Keep in mind, though, that crib bedding can get pretty expensive, and the set you adore may cost more than you can afford. The easiest way to narrow your search is to choose a theme and set a budget before you start shopping.
Think about how large a family you're planning to have. Will you be having more? If yes, then take that into consideration. Having a girl usually means picking out a girl baby bedding set, blindingly pink and girly, such as a Pixie Stix bedding set. But you might have a boy next - and a feminine bedding set would look pretty weird in his nursery. Considering how much you'll be spending on baby crib bedding, check out some gender neutral themes that with work for future babies, too.
Bedding sets can get as expensive as you're willing to spend, so plan a budget ahead of time and stick to it no matter what. Baby is not going to care what brand of bedding you've bought, he's far more concerned with his comfort.
Physical stores usually only carry a handful of options, because they don't have the room to to display and store the massive selections you find online.
When you want a certain brand, your local store will probably disappoint you - you might find that they only carry one brand. There are very few local shops that carry the selection of an online store. Even if you're shopping at a big-box discounter, you may find that they can't match the prices you'll find online.
But, of course, there are also disadvantages to buying online - the biggest one being that you can't touch or examine the bedding. So when an online retailer tells you that a bedding set is cuddly, you have no way to verify it. Product photos, or even product videos simply do not allow you to examine the bedding the way you can in a real-life setting.
The other major problem with shopping online is *too much* selection. The easiest solution is to choose a bedding style and a budget before you go online.
