Three Gifts for Expecting Mothers

What should you buy your best friend for that upcoming baby shower? You want to show her that you care, but you also have a relatively small budget of both time and money. Here is a list of potential ideas (from baby onesies to diapers) along with their advantages and pitfalls.
Diapers - Most people's initial reaction to buying diapers as a gift is a negative one. Who would want diaper's as a gift? Well it turns out that these plastic made contraptions are more expensive than they look and having them is a necessity. If the expecting mother is a practical person, think about giving them diapers. You may be surprised by the outcome.
Baby Clothing - Receiving baby clothes for an expecting mother is the closest thing to heaven on earth. As an added bonus, you'll probably enjoy shopping for the gift just as much as the mother will enjoy receiving it.
Baby Clothes - Mothers love baby clothes. While you probably can't go wrong with purchasing baby clothes, there can be some drawbacks. Baby clothes can be more expensive and sizes and styles can be hard to get right.
Baby clothes can sometimes be expensive, so for a cheap alternative try baby onesies. Onesies are like a large shirt that wraps around the baby's body and snaps at the bottom. These outfits come with a variety of colors and sayings.
The snaps on the bottom of baby onesies are extremely useful. When it is time to change Mr. Baby's diaper, you don't have to undress him completely. You simply have to unsnap the bottom of the onesie, change the diaper, and snap the onesie back up again when you're done.
Baby onesies with funny sayings on them are extremely cute. If you can think of a saying that your expecting mother would like, then I recommend buying them a onesie.
In summary remember that there are advantages and disadvantages to every gift. If all else fails, you can feign sickness and hope they forget that you never gave them a baby gift.
